Quick Update (from OR to CA)
The next 3 days we spent in Vacaville where we able to take a day trip up to old town Sacramento. There dad had lunch with an old friend of his while Mom, Avery and I walked the town shops.
It is Sept 28th and we are now in San Jose! This is kinda our second home.. Avery and I grew up here until we were five and seven, and mom and dad have lived in this area since they were children. This evening we will probably take a drive and check out our old rental house (We had a rabbit named Thumper and three kittens (Romeo, Jasper, Mascot) at the time. We hope to find the cement slab where we all made hand prints while living there. Then on to Grandpa and Grandmas old house where Mom was raised, and we were both born. :)
We hope to unite with some old friends and family throughout the week and hit up some good restaurants! Miss you all up there in Idaho!

Roseburg, OR. (Sept.16-22)
Rick and Avery were very excited to try their hand at salmon fishing. It seems every morning and evening the river is busy with many people (mostly men) fishing for Chinook and King Salmon. After seeing a couple men pull in 25-35lb salmon Rick was even more motivated to get their fishing rods set up right so they could better their chance at catching one of these fish. After going into the local town fish store and getting all set up, they woke up two mornings in a row at 6am to fish and again in the evenings from 5-8pm at night. Unfortunately they did not pull in a salmon, but were able to enjoy the experience. They look forward to future fishing on our trip and hopefully some successful catches. :)
Yesterday (Thurs.) after school, the boys and I took off for a day trip. We went to the Douglas County Museum and then over to the Wild Life Safari. The museum was a mix between the history of the first settlers to the area, the Indians that lived there before them and the wild life of the area. The exhibits were very enjoyable. The Wild Life Safari was a 4.5 mile car drive where you can view over 500 animals (from Africa, Asia and America) in their natural habitat roaming freely much as they do in the wild. The kids and I had a great time and ended up driving through twice. (of course I forgot my camera and phone but at least Devin had his iPod)
The kids have been doing fairly well with school although not a full schedule by any means. Rick is still being trained by his new company and currently having to listen to hrs of training during the day. I am learning to use my crock pot more and have enjoyed trying new recipes. :) My back is on the mend, still in pain and still a daily struggle, but thankful for Gods daily grace.
Today is Friday (Sept 21st) and we are leaving for Redding, CA. tomorrow morning. Our plan is to stay there a week before heading into the bay area.
Thankful for God's Provisions as we continue on our trek and our journey together as a family.

Florence History.
Catcher-Uhper
Update, still in pain.
Well, last week I took quite a hard fall going down a sand dune hill at a fast speed. I knew right away that I was hurt but wasn't much I could do but lay down and ice my body and take motrin. Yesterday in Florence I saw a chiropractor who gently adjusted a couple areas, but I am still in a lot of pain all day. Whatever the outcome I would love prayer support for healing, it has made it quite hard to get through my days. Thank u!
Much love to all of u (friends and family).

Pacific City Sept 1-10th
Well we made it out to our 1st destination in one piece. Thank you Lord! The quaint town of Pacific City, Or was very lively when we pulled in late Sat. Sept 1st, as it was Labor Day weekend. Our first few days were sunny and warmer than we expected (68-72), followed by some cooler, foggier days with wind (58-61). The boys have enjoyed climbing the enormous sand dune mountain they have and running (Devin) and rolling (Avery) down it. Devin found the first sand dollars of our coastal trip and Farley has worn himself out and been quite content with all his time at the beach. There are rabbits all around our campground and town area. It seems 30years ago someone let their pet rabbits go free and well, you know what happened next. Tues we started a school schedule with the boys and still working on getting settled with timing of things in our new home. Friday we rented sand boards (the snow board type and a sit down kind for Avery and I) to go down the huge sand dune. It didn't go so well with my ride down, I bailed pretty hard at a fast speed and got tossed around like a rag doll. Once up and moving I retired to lay at the bottom of the hill while the boys continued their time, thankful I was not hurt even worse then I was. Devin and Rick did a few runs of sand boarding and got some onlookers cheering them on. Even got a video camera on them for a travel advertisement. Ended the night with some pizza and ice cream and some motrin and ice. :) Setting to leave Sat. morning for Florence, things were delayed due to Rick not getting his work gear from the post office in time. Cape Kiwanda Rv Resort was full so we moved down the road to Thousand Trails Campground. God has his timing for all things, so we are thankful for His provisions and for His care. We will go to another church service here in town tomorrow morning and spend a day checking this place out and see where we end up Monday afternoon. :) --Jenn

Leaving CDA for 1 of 2 places.....
We set sail on our first journey at noon yesterday. We had two options for the night. First option was beautiful Memaloose state park near the Columbia river. Second option was Walmart in Troutdale, Or. Naturally the Walmart took preference ;). Pulling the trailer went well although there were some bursts of wind that tossed us about here and there. There was an interesting noise from under the hood that caused some anxiety for a couple minutes. Might be something to look into.
Upon arrival at Walmart we found a quiet spot to park, went in to buy water and immediately noticed the difference in people. Jenn and I were brought back to living in San Jose. Bigger city equals more ethnicity.
Doing a devotional this morning and heading over to my brothers place in Portland to visit for a few hours before heading to the coast.
